Computer users are getting frustrated with the length of time it takes to start their computer. Some start the computer and then go off and do something else – coffee, breakfast, conference call, etc. It takes so long and frustrates so many that people are now leaving their computer on all the time. The cost is electricity but the frustration is gone.
Now computer companies have hear our frustration and are finding ways to start the computer quickly. HP's goal is to start the computer in 30 to 45 seconds. Now this speed will only happen with the newest computers and in the near future there will be many more choices to pick from. But this will not help your current computer.
So unless you buy a new fast starting computer, have a cup of coffee or breakfast while your computer starts.

This week we are talking about Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD).
Familiar with arthersclerosis of the heart and brain (heart attacks and strokes)? Well that also happens in the arteries of the lower extremity (legs). It affects up to 20% of people older than 65.
Risk factors include diabetes, smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, overweight, getting little or no exercise, and having a family history of premature cardiovascular disease.
Results of having PAD include hard to heal foot ulcers, infections, gangrene and pain on walking.
Symptoms include pain in the buttocks or leg muscles on walking which subsides upon rest. But most people do not have any clear symptoms.
It can be initially diagnosed by comparing the blood pressure in your arm and in your ankle. This is called the ABI. If there is a significant difference in the blood pressures further test may be indicated.
Nothing about PAD should be considered part of getting older. If you are having symptoms or are over 65 ask you doctor about PAD (Peripheral Arterial Disease).

This week we are talking about Know Your Limits.
Have you ever gone to a auction and gotten carried away with the bidding? Happens a lot for instance on eBay.
Well if you are bidding in a home auction, not knowing your limits could lead to a disaster. So some home auctions are now making lenders available before the auction to preapprove you. A preapproval is when not only is your credit rating checked but also your financial documents. This way the potential loan is solid. You now know how much you can bid for the property.
If you are bidding on a property play it safe and have your financial resources in line and know your limits before the bidding starts.
Thanks for listening.
