Show Notes:

San Francisco is the first city to try wireless on street parking space occupancy notification.  You will be able to find a parking space from your smart phone or on street displays.

In the future you may be able to reserve and extend your parking space with your smart phone.

In New York it was estimated that 28 to 45% of the traffic was just circling the block looking for a parking space.  This system could drastically cut down this extra traffic.

It will be interesting to see how it works.
