Show Notes:
Is your computer in need of repair? Decision to go to repair shop (computer guy) or do it yourself)
Yes it is possible to repair your computer usually for great savings in cost.
The first step is to decide if your computer is worth repairing. So what's the cost of a new computer. Then if the repair will cost over half the value of a new computer don't do it.
Use the Internet as you research. Search on a browser for help deciding what is broken, finding parts and instructions on how to do the repair.
Important tip: During the repair photograph each step and label all parts. Many parts look very similar, especially the tiny screws and fasteners. Be sure to use the correct parts when you install the new part. In general there should only be the broken part left over when the repair is completed.
