Show Notes:
Another Internet browser war is on its way. The browser is becoming more important again as more functions are moving online.
Mozilla Firefox 3.0 release soon. Internet Explorer 8 and a new Safari browser are also in the works.
Firefox 3.0 will be twice as fast as the current version and with less memory use. It will maintain 3 months usage and predict where you want to go. If you enter a word and it is found in the URL or description it will be displayed for you to choose from. Of course you can just enter the URL or search for it. No more bookmarks. This might make using someone else's browser awkward.
Internet Explorer 8 will be able to bookmark dynamic piece of a web site and you will be able to follow it on screen when you leave the site. For example an auction or a sports score.
Safari has only 5% of the market and mostly on Macs. However with a recent update to Ituness on a MS Windows machine, you had to opt out of downloading and installing Safari. Their usage tippled on MS Windows machines with this trick.
We will have to wait until these new browsers are available but I am looking forward to them. Remember you can have more than one browser on your computer.
What browser do you use now and why? Let us know.
