Do you snore? As we get older, snoring becomes more common. It generally starts in the 30's and 40's and then rises over 50.
The John Hopkins Health Alert outlined 9 tips to reduce the snoring.
1. Avoid heavy meals and alcohol within 3 hours of sleep.
2. Avoid tranquilizers and antihistamines before bed time.
3. Lose weight if you are overweight.
4. Avoid sleeping on your back.
5. Try the tennis ball treatment – to prevent you from sleeping on your back.
6. Tilt the head of your bed upward.
7. Seek treatment for allergies and upper respiratory problems.
8. Make sure there is good flow of fresh air in the bedroom.
9. If you smoke, quit.
