Medicare was written when we lived for shorter periods of time and long term care was not common.  Things have changed.  But most expenses associated with caregiving are still not covered by medicare and unless the law is rewritten, will not be.  But medicare is reaching out to caregivers with infomation that may help short of paying for it.  Remember that medicare does not have a long term care provision.
