Show Notes:

Constipation is when you have a bowel movement less than 3 times a week.  And you have symptoms of painful stools, bloating, or cramping.

Drinking more water, exercise more and eat more foods high in fiber can in many cases stop the constipation.

Bulk, lubricant and hyperosmotic laxatives – i.e. Metamucil, Epsom salts, and Miralax.

Stimulant laxatives – i.e. Ex-Lax

There are also prescription laxatives.

You should only use lubricant, hyperosmotic and stimulant laxatives under a health care providers direction.  There can be serious side effects from these laxatives.
