Welcome to this weeks edition of Baby Boomer Health – Butter vs Margarine

Show Notes:

Which is healthier – Butter or Margarine?  Well butter contains both saturated fat and cholesterol.  Stick margarine contains trans fat and saturated fat.

So the real winner is trans fat-free tub and liquid margarine.  They have the least bad fats.

And don't forget to cook with oils that are monounsaturated fat such as olive oil or canola oil.

I buy smart balance..Hope that is healthy…I almost never use regular margarine or butter…Lots of olive oil..and for sauteing I use canola as it can take higher temps.

Remember though..when cooking veggies steaming is best.
