Welcome to this weeks edition of Baby Boomer Family – Your Run Ins With The Law
Show Notes:
Today, anyone can research your private records for any and all criminal infractions. It's free now in many cases so nothing is stopping anyone from doing it.
In some jurisdictions, a speeding ticked is a "criminal offense" and it will show up on your record.
Employers can look into the past of employees and potential employees. Employers cannot use this data in making hiring decisions legally but what is stopping them?
These records can include your address and offences back to the beginning of the digital records.
What if your name is the same as someone with a terrible record? If you have a common name, the chances of a mistake are high. Some times you cannot tell if it is you or someone else.
