Raising Grandchildren
About 1 in 12 children are being raised by relatives in this country. About 3/4 of these are being cared for by grandparents. Most of these grandparents are Baby Boomers.
So what are the potential problems:
Support – Financial
Custody
Housing – Adult communities
Legal – Adopt
Inheritance – Will
Retirement Hobbies
Baby boomers are full of energy. As they retire they do not want to sit still. So they need to develop hobbies that keep them active.
Here are some of the common ones:
Travel
Gardening
Water-skiing
Tennis
Hiking
Pet rescue
Golf
