Show Notes:

Vegetables taste better if you grow them yourself.  A lot of the vegetable food scares (recently with tomatoes) are not a concern if you grow them yourself.

Starting your own "victory garden" has become popular again.  Some people have taken it to the extreme and planted vegetables throughout the entire yard.  Others live in apartments or condos and don't know were to plant vegetables.

You can grow flowers in pots – everyone knows that – but did you know you can grow vegetables in containers too.  Yes even an apartment or condo dweller can grow vegetables if they want.

Urban dwellers can get together and develop gardens in vacant lots.  You then give everyone a spot to grow their vegetables and flowers.  Now you have a community garden or allotment.  Be sure to get permission from the owner and the city.  In some cities were buildings have been raised and the lot taker over by the city, the city will be glad to let you grow vegetables there.  Just ask.

What a great way to combat rising prices and eat well. Just imagine if all of us got on this great bandwagon and we were chomping down on our earthly rewards. Love it! We do grow our own herbs and tomatoes…Next summer it is going to be a huge garden…carol stanley "For Kids 59.99 and Over"
