Show Notes:
Eating a diet high in salt can lead to consumption to excess calories (sugar) and therefore weight. A study be St. George's University of London showed that children who eat an excess of salt also consumed more soft drinks per week than those with a low salt intake. So be careful of food that is high in sodium, particularly those that have triple digit sodium per serving.
Eating an apple or pear before means can actually help you to lose weight. Not sure why but in a study where both groups had a reduced calorie diet. One with a apple or pear before meals and one who had an oatmeal cookie before meals. The apple/pear group lost significantly more weight. Could it be the high water, high fiber, low calorie fruit?
