Show Notes:

Bananas have been a very popular and inexpensive fruit for years.  This may be coming to a close.

Increased cost of shipping and fuel cost are leading to increased costs.  Also there have been severe floods in Ecuador – the largest producer of bananas.

We all eat one type of banana – Cavendish.  And there is a new fungus that kills Cavendish bananas and their trees.  No other type of banana is grown today.  This fungus is expected some time in the next 10 years or so attack the trees in South America.

So if the banana growers don't do something soon, we may lose all of our bananas.
